Take the Metro into DC! Drive to one of the metro stations, and take the train into DC. They are inexpensive, clean, and make the trip less stressful. Finding a parking space is a real pain if you drive!

Metrorail although Hotel runs a shuttle from hotel to metro station it only goes at certain times. I drove my own car down to the station which was very easy to get to from hotel. It does cost around 4 or 5dollars a day and this Vienna station takes credit cards to get out of the station. Not sure if other station will let you our with credit card. Also metro rail can run you anywhere from 2.50 to 4.00 to ride one way. Between the hours of 7am to 9am and 3pm to 6pm this is considered high time to ride. So you will pay the 4.00 to ride each way. if you ride any other times other than what was listed it was cheaper to ride. We were told that it was very expensive to park your car downtown so that's why we chose the metro rail. It became a little pricey with the 4 of us. We were there for 5days. If I had to do it again than I would find out what it cost to park down town and compare the 2.
