Top Local Tips for Charlottesville

Busy College Town Very small streets in and around campus. Lot's of traffic, lot's of students. Drive carefully.

Historical Homes In Charlottesville are the homes of Thomas Jefferson (Monticello) and James Monroe (Ash Lawn-Highland.) Also in nearby Orange, there is the home of James Madison (Montpelier.)

Panera Bread Company Bring your computer! There is a Panera Bread Company in a huge shopping plaza on Emmet St that has free WiFi. They only ask that, during their busiest time(11am-2pm), you spend no more than 30 minutes at your table with your computer. It is the perfect place to surf the web and grab a decent bite to eat that's not deep fried. Coffee is excellent too!
