Bloody sheets!

It had good location & view of the beach. Also, Angela that checked us in was very nice. The continental breakfast was so-so. That's where the good things stop. Our 1st room had a broken air conditioner. We called the desk & they said someone would be up to fix it in about 10 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes in the hot room, we called down again. No one answered. We walked down to the desk where we were informed the guy never answered his page. When were they gonna tell us that?? So they moved us down the hall. After unpacking, & showering, we realized the tub did not drain very well. We had to wait an hour between showers to let enought water drain out so it didn't overflow. The soap dishes & corners of the shower had crud caked onto it. The best part came when it was bed time. I pulled back the comforter to find a huge brown crusty stain on the underside. It appeared to be dried blood!! I know its cheap, but seriously, blood stains?? Ever heard of AIDS? I have stayed at a lot of hotels in the same price range. I am not expecting any frills. Just a clean place to shower & sleep. The Ramada Limited is truely limited (to poor service & cleanliness)
Very Poor Customer Service

After requesting a brochure from VB to select a hotel for our family (we have 3 children) we chose the Holiday Inn "SunSpree" based on the fact they have an Indoor Lazy River to entertain them in the event of rain. Months have gone by and we leave in 2 days. We decided to give them a call to see if our room is "oceanfront" or "oceanview"...only for them to inform us that OUR ROOM ISN'T EVEN IN THE HOLIDAY INN WITH THE LAZY RIVER. They "mistakenly" reserved our room in a completely different Holiday Inn ("Oceanside") and offered to refund our money because my husband CLEARLY expressed at the time he reserved the room that he wanted the one with the LAZY RIVER. After my husband hung up and explained what happened, we decided to have our money refunded and find an alternate hotel. When he called them back to have our money refunded...they REFUSED. He has spent HOURS and has made NUMEROUS calls and spoke with several people (the manager at the hotel refuses to speak with us). They are very unreliable and in my opinion very unprofessional and it is my hope that no one else makes this mistake by reserving a room with Holiday Inn.
