Top Local Tips for Williston
Enjoyable stay Visit here off season for a quick get away from the city at a reasonable price. Hotel was just renovated and the rooms are spacious. Hotel shuttle can pick you up from the airport and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
Burlington/Williston Taxis Taxis are expensive and have a lot to be desired - outdated & beat up (one door was broken and couldn't be opened). The cab drivers were all friendly and made sure I was taken care of - he even went out of his way to drop me off under a covered roof in the rain. But... they're local blue collar works and a little on the creepy side - which could be a little scary for single female travelers, but I never felt unsafe. Average cost to go about 2 miles is $10 each way. Cars rent for less than $40 a day (maybe more during summer tourist season), so best bet is to rent a car. Very easy town to drive around in.
