Serviceable and Convenient for Lackland AFB Visitors

LaQuinta-Lackland is conveniently located just down the road from Lackland AFB's main gate. Although there are not a lot of other services in the immediate area (restaurants, recreation, etc.), the location affords easy access to San Antonio's freeway system, so ""getting around"" is easy. There is a wealth of dining and recreation choices along I-410, only minutes away. The facility is old, but well kept, with a friendly and courteous staff. In additions to economy and convenience, the fact that most of the guests are Lackland family visitors promotes an somewhat unique feeling of ""community"" around the place ... in the breakfast area, at the outdoor pool, when taking short strolls around the property, etc. Were we ever to have reason to visit Lackland again, we'd probably again choose LaQuinta-Lackland.

Comfortable room comfortable surroundings

We were hoping for a place close to the Air Force base and La Quinta was a very good choice. We hope to find a clean, comfortable place to stay when we travel and were pleased with your hotel. From the hotel we travelled a short distance to the Air Base and were always within 20 minutes of just about any attraction in San Antonio. I would recommend La Quinta to anyone travelling. Thank you to your kind staff and Their help with directions and ideas.

Top Local Tips for San Antonio

Places to see See the Riverwalk, but ASK DIRECTIONS to AND from. It if very easy to get lost coming back from the Riverwalk. Also go North on I10 to Boerne--great little town with quaint shops. Eat lunch at the Cypress Grille--amazing place!!

Great Value for People Attending Military Graduation If you are flying in and don't want to rent a car, a good alternative is Mac Trans (http://mactrans.startlogic.com/index.html). They've got good rates going to and from Lackland AFB and the surrounding area (including downtown). Another good thing about this company is that they operate 24/7, so you don't need to worry about not getting a ride back to your Hotel.
