Great hotel in Uptown Houston. Near Galleria Shopping Mall, dining, and nightlife. Beautiful meeting rooms for a wedding reception or event.

Reliant Stadium The Stadium was beautiful and you need to buy the brunch at the Bubble next to the stadium it was great.

Houston is a great restaurant town There is something for everybody in this town. I am from Chicago, which is one of the best restaurant towns in the US. Some recommendations, which I have been to several times: The House of Pies on Kirby--great for breakfast and open 24 hours. Carrabbas on KIrby--good atmosphere and good Italian food--service is great. For a deli--Kenny and Ziggy's on Post Oak Drive near the Galleria is very authentic and has a good lox and bagel breakfast. Lupe's Tortilleria on the frontage Road--2414 Southwest Freeway good resonablly priced Mexican food and wonderful fajitas. For lunch or a light dinner--Ruggles in Rice Village can't be beat. Places I have been to once--Goode and Company on Kirby for barbeque, Marks American Restaurant--very expensive, but very good. I was disappointed the Americas on Post Oak, Expensive, loud and the food is only average. Lupes has better beef at half the price.

Romantic Dining - The Capital Grille I found this initially in Washington, D.C. and it is, by far, the best dining experience I have had anywhere. The aged beef is to die for. Definitely not a a cheap affair (with a bottle of wine, appetizer, entree, side, dessert, and tip, it's easy to spend $100/person) but the experience is one that is worth having for celebrations, at least.
