Shuttle won't pick you up at the airport, even for $ You have to take the Super Shuttle -- which makes stops at other hotels (not sure of the cost). Or a taxi cab, which will run (with tip) approximately $45.00 from IAH.

Goodes--what's so good? Was in Houston for one night and was really craving good Texas bbq. I'd had it in Dallas and it was exceptional, so I was looking forward to a similar experience in Houston. Everyone recommended Goode's and so I decided to go there. Although my hometown is not bbq heaven, I've had better bbq here than I did at Goode's. I ordered the brisket which was insipid and the sauce too watery. The famous jalapeno cheese bread was nothing more than a slice of white bread with a few shreds of cheddar on top and some jalapenos inside the dough. The potato salad was too mayonnais-ey and while the slaw was good, it was nothign outrageous. The one star of the meal were the Austin Baked Beans which seemed to be studded with small pieces of caramelized apples and lots of pork. Delicious. Maybe I went on a "bad" night, but Goode's wasn't too good.
