Parking by the Hyatt If you're staying the weekend, avoid the $15-$25 a day parking charge; the streets are deserted anyway. Park a half-block up Dallas St., right in view of the Houston Police Department, so no one will mess with your car. Just remember that on Saturdays you'll need to feed the meter (up to $6).

Houston's Theater District If you plan a trip to Downtown Houston we highly recommand the Downtown Hyatt it is in the middle of everything.My wife and I just returned from a weekend in Houston where we attended a concert in the theater district.We walked to the concert and alone the way we past 3 parks and all 3 of them had something going on. We stopped at each 1 of them and check out what they had it was very intersting.Our walk back to the Hyatt after the concert was very safe.

Dining There are quite a few restaurants in the surrounding area but many close early. The area is largely businesses and so restaurants around here do a booming lunch business and do not stay open late.
