The mansion is completely in a league of it's own. The past few times I have stayed there, I had a ground floor with my own private patio to enjoy a cocktail and a cigar.(No Smoking in Bars in Texas) The staff goes above and beyond to meet your request. The piano bar is one of the most relaxing lounges in the country. The location could not be any better. Great shopping and restaurants within minutes. I could go on, but you get the picture.

Top Local Tips for Dallas

Places to eat: Make a point to try the Lobster at The Palm. For lunch there's a steak/texmex type restaurant across the street from The Palm that was wonderful. You CAN NOT leave Dallas without dining at Lawry's Prime Rib. Seriously, it would be a sin. It's my favorite restaurant of all time and there are only 4 locations in the US.

Loved Cafe Pacific in Highland Park for lunch or dinner. Cafe Pacific in the very upsclae shopping area of Highlad Park Village is very good. Lots of seafood and I would say 40 different wines by the glass,,or bottle service too. RESERVATIONS a must,,so be sure to call ahead,,or be banished for a bar table. Closed Sunday evening, but open for Brunch. After dining,, head on over to get some Jimmy Choo shoes at Jimmy Choo store for your wife or significant other, or visit some of the other fine shops in the Village.

Go to Highland Park Village Great place to do a little window shopping & people watch. Very upscale. The rich of the rich type of place.
