Stay away from the Black Diamond Oyster Bar When I woke up after a well-deserved nap after arriving in Corpus Christi by motorcycle, the first thing I wanted was oysters and beer. So me and my friend walked over to the Holiday Inn for some. Sad to say, no Oysters there. The bartender, whom I will never trust again, said to go over to the Black Diamond Oyster Bar. JEEZZ what a mistake it was believing him!! The oysters had been rinsed out with fresh water for so long that they had NO, and I mean, NO, taste, other than old seabed flesh. They stank. I ordered a ceviche and it tasted bitter and limp. The waitress was so sweet to us, we tipped her well. It would be a delight to see her again in a competent restaurant, but it sure as hell won't be in the Black Diamond Oyster Bar. The place is not worth a visit as the chefs don't care and the food is garbage.
