While staying at Headrick's River Breeze Motel in Townsend, we were constantly monitored by the owner. He drives by all the time, and is a very rude man. During our stay there, some friends with two small children dropped by to visit. We thought it would be fun for the kids to swim in the pool, but within seconds of them getting in the pool, the owner came by and told us they had to get out or he would call the police. This was totally unnecessary. All he had to do was tell us nicely that they could not swim there, not threaten us with calling the police. By the way, NO ONE else was in the pool. Also, he reminded us a couple of times we had reservations for four people - we couldn't even have anyone visit us! The website for Headrick's River Breeze states "where everyone is treated special" and that everyone is treated with southern hospitatlity. This cannot be further from the truth. While the location of the motel is great and there are nice views of the foothills, I did not enjoy the constant monitoring. I will never stay there again, nor do I recommend it to anyone.
