Excellent Service, great hotel

from bikerbabe77
We stayed at the Red Roof hotel in Pigeon Forge last week (June 3 & 4) and had a great suite complete with King size bed, sofa, table and chairs, refrigerator and microwave. The service was excellent and Christina behind the front desk went out of her way to tell us about the trolley service and two wonderful restaurants that we ate at and had excellent service. We didn't even know about the breakfast every morning which was nice. The pool and hot tub were just the ticket after a day of wandering through Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We will definately be back next time through. Thanks

great stay

We stayed here for 6 nights. June 3rd, through June 9th, 2007
We have a great and speedy check-in and same w/ check-out.
The we had a king suite and it was very roomy, it had a microwave, refridgerator, and coffee maker in room. The room was clean and all staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay there and do plan to stay next year when we return for our trip.

Excellent Hotel

from Teambono
Our family of four stayed here for 4 nights over Spring Break.

THE GOOD: The location was really good for visiting Dollywood and nearby Gatlinburg. The hotel is located on a side street and directly next door to a new outlet mall and miniature golf. It's also within walking distanceThe hotel was also within walking distance of alot of other attractions, although traffic can be pretty heavy.

The Free Continental Breakfast was outstanding! There was fresh fruit salad, home-made muffins (4 different kinds), bagels and cream cheese, grits, oatmeal, banana's, home-made cookies, 3 or 4 different kinds of toast, butter, jelly, syrup, orange juice, milk, hot chocolate, coffee & tea.

The rooms were very clean and wll maintained, as well as spacious. We had a microwave and small refrigerator.

The pool was open 24 hours a day and surrounded by a glass enclosure that could be opened on hot days. Parking ws close to hotel and free.

THE BAD: Our room was located on the second floor next to the glass enclosed pool. Kids and teens screaming all night at 1 a.m. in the pool was heard through the paper-thin walls. I would suggest to be sure NOT to get a room next to the pool, no matter what floor you are on.

Overall, if you are staying overnight or a couple of nights, I would highly recommend this hotel, as it was immaculate and well-maintained. The front desk staff was also very helpful.

Red Roof Inn is A-OK

from wellsms
After reading some of the great reviews on trip advisor, I decided to call and check their price on a stay. They were having a spring deal of $89 for 2 nights during the week. I called and found out that with AAA I could get a better price, I paid $41 during the week, and $71 for a Fri or Sat. We were very pleased with this hotel. Front desk was very nice and cordial to us at check-out, also gave us some coupons for Smokey Mtn Brewery and to Bull Fish. Pool and hot tub was nice and clean, when the weather is warm, they open up alot of doors, so it is not too hot around the pool area when needed. Room was clean and Aok. Plenty of room, we had two q beds, would of preferred a k, but they were all out of them. Beds were comfy and we heard no noise during the nights there. We will stay here again, if the price is right, because nothing was wrong with our stay.

This Red Roof is about 7 years old according to the front desk worker, but it looks almost brand new--extremely well maintained. Property includes a big 24-hour indoor heated pool w/ jacuzzi, wi-fi on every floor, continental breakfast (muffins, bagels, hot and cold cereals, fruit, coffee, juice, bread for toasting...everything efficiently maintained by a very energetic and pleasant grandmother-type lady!) and a superb staff. Several restaurants are within a couple hundred yards, a shopping center next door, and attractions (putt-putt-style golf, go-karts, etc.) are nearby also. The hotel is just off the main road, so traffic noise is not a problem. Beds are plenty comfortable and seemed to be slightly larger than doubles in most hotels I've stayed. All floors have interior corridors with ice, vending, and laundry room. Our rooms were $44.99 for weeknights, and $74.99 for weekend nights, and I know there are plenty of less-expensive places, but this one is worth the extra dough.

if you smoke dont go here and if you tell them smoking they let you believe

from thelilsis1982
ok first of all its not that i dont like this hotel. its clean and it does have a nice pool area, but i would have to say there is one nice guy that works there he will do anything to make sure his customers are happy but some of the other ladies that work there can be a bit crabby. anyways if you smoke and you ask for smoking over the phone they will not tell you that they only have 2 smoking rooms. they just book your hotel room and tell you when you get there. i said smoking when i booked it and when i got there they had me in smoke free room and not only that if there is bad weather out then your not going swimming because there pool is in like a green house style area and its all windows so it was closed one of the days we were there wish was a joy kill for the children. in my opinion it wasnt worth it i have seen other hotel stays for cheaper with the same amenities for less. i would suggest go a lil further down the road and you will see a big hotel its white i wont name no names on here but contact me if you need more info on the hotel i am trying to suggest.

What a great stay! Great Location!

from Prop23
This hotel was a short stop on a long journey. I wished we could have stayed longer though! What a great place.

The price was great for the area. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. Even the floor cleaners that were there for routine cleaning were friendly!

The room was great and had a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. It was clean and well kept.

Although I didn't take advantage of the indoor pool, I checked it out and noticed it was clean.

The complimentary breakfast was satisfying as well.

We ate dinner at a brewery/restaurant right next door. There was also a fairly new line of shops right next door well worth visiting, which included a mini-golf. The restaurant had karaoke going on during our time there and made for great entertainment! The shops and restaurant next to the Red Roof Inn were a winning combination!

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

t Wait To Go Back...

from Randy_From_MI
After a disappointing stay at a Gatlinburg hotel, my wife and I searched for accommodations in the Smoky Mountain area, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the Red Roof Inn of Pigeon Forge.

First and foremost, the location is perfect! The Inn is just off the strip, but within walking distance of the new Walden Crossings shopping area, a local grocery store, and even the community park. It is also just across from the Pigeon Forge Community Center, for those who wish to perhaps include some exercise on a rainy day.

The hotel itself is fairly new and clean, offering very competitive rates for a hotel with such nice amenities, such as an indoor pool with retractable roof, free breakfast, etc. The front desk staff was also very friendly and also provided great "insider" tips about how to make the most of our stay (e.g. taking the local trolley to Dollywood, etc.)

It is hard to find anything wrong with our stay, but if there was anything to point out, it would be: 1) The continental breakfast could be improved; 2) Only one elevator makes it a bit difficult during the morning peak times; and 3) Parking can be a little scarce later in the evening. Yet having said this, we truly could not ask for a better place to stay, and we can't wait to return!

Nicest People! Good Hotel!

from sillysmom
I was recommended to this hotel by the friend who helped me plan my trip, she had stayed at this hotel. Firstly, even know the hotel is on the newer side, it was not luxurious by any stretch of the imagination. But, and very importantly, I have NEVER met a nicer, more accomodating group of friendly folks in my life. That would also go for almost every worker at every place I visited in PF. Back to the hotel, the rooms were nice, clean, the bathroom, yes, could have been a little cleaner in the spots that clean freaks like myself look at. But it was clean. Our room was kept nice by the attendants. I used the laundry room 1 night, needs a total overhaul, and needs to be larger, and of course you had the folks who left their clothes in the dryer overnight (so rude!) The pool was very nice, although they advertised 24 hours that it was open, it was only open until midnight. That was ok by me, but not my 11 year old. The continental breakfast was fine. Yes, it was a little crowded, but you could also sit outside. Or bring the food back to your room. It had a fair selection of items, we are not big breakfast eaters so we weren't expecting much. They had bagels, muffins, waffles, cereal, fruit oatmeal, coffee, juices it was enough for us. We really had a pleasant experience here. No it wasn't the most beautiful hotel we're stayed in, but the experience from the hotel staff made it a great time. My daughter had gotten her first stitches 2 days before we got there, and they helped so much with gloves for her hand so that she could go in the pool, they were great. We've already booked out 2nd trip to PF for this coming April, and we'll be staying at the Red Roof again.

Pretty decent stay

from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed here for three nights, and had a comfortable experience. The only drawback to our room was the bathroom, which was kind of small and dirty overall, highlighted by a dirty, soap-scummy tub. The A/C worked well, and everything else seemed pretty well-kept. The continental breakfast was ok, but the eating area was way too small and crowded.

Some real positives to note - friendly, helpful desk staff and the hotel location itself. The hotel is back a little ways from the noise of the parkway, which was personally a big plus for us. Overall, this place is a pretty decent stay and less expensive when compared with other places in town or in Gatlinburg.

Top Local Tips for Pigeon Forge

Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg Tips We weren't sure what to expect in Pigeon Forge, so if you are looking for quaint shopping, and aquariums and night life, I suggest staying in nearby Gatlinburg. There is more to see and do, and you can walk to most everything. In Pigeon Forge, you can walk, but all of the attractions are so spread out, it would take a long time and there is soo much traffic.

Dixie Stampede Dixie Stampede is a must do in Pigeon Forge.
