Historical Traveller Reviews of Music Road Inn & Conf. Center Hotel

Great hotel for everyone!

from SE
We were very pleased with our stay in August. The rooms were large, our bathroom was huge! Very nice buffet breakfast. The pool was great, as was the lazy river for the kids. Everyone seemed content. The 24hr indoor pool was a bonus.

Music Road Inn --- The best Pigeon Forge has to offer in hospitality!

from jqtrip06
My family and I stayed at the Music Road Inn for five nights during June 2004. Our non-smoking room included two queen beds, a balcony, and a large bathroom. The room was very spacious. Everyone in my family was surprised at the space inside of the rooms. We stayed on the second floor (right above the front desk) and had the view of the lobby right outside of our door. The rooms could not have been cleaner. We left the Clarion Inn (Gatlinburg) for their lack of cleanliness and were welcomed by Junior (excellent employee at Music Road) who offered us a wonderful room.

The hotel included a continental breakfast each morning and allowed hotel guests to enjoy a 24 hour indoor swimming pool and an outdoor pool that included a nice lazy river. The hotel was great and is our new spot to stay at when visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Dollywood.

All of the front desk employees and staff members were friendly and well informed about the area attractions and dining options. My family and I travel a lot and have to say that the Music Road Inn has to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The Smoky Mountains National Park is only a short drive away and Dollywood is just a few blocks away. The hotel's location is definitely great and is located in the main strip of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Be sure to stay at the Music Road Inn during your next stay in the Smoky Mountains and you can be sure of enjoying a great hotel in a great place!

Greatest Inn in the Mountains

We've brought our grandchildern to Piegon Forge on several vacations and have usually stayed at the Music Road Inn or Music Road. These two hotel/
inn are the most wonderful in the Piegon Forge Area. Very Clean, Neat, Quiet, and the pools alone are a mini-vacation within itself. We as greatgrandparnets enjoyed the water slide very much!! As the grandkids "plan" the first summer vacation, they pick Piegon Forge, TN and to stay at Music Road Inn.

Cleanliness could use some work.....

We stayed here at the recommendation of a friend with two little girls. LOVED the pools and lazy river. Our granddaughter was absolutely hysterical with glee. Upon check-in (got a little mixed up and went to the "Music Road Hotel" across the street first and were not treated very nicely), Joe helped us with everything and was a great employee for The Music Road "INN". He made check-in delightful. Thanks, Joe. We were a little disappointed in the cleanliness part of the hotel. Our room's bathroom toilet was filthy -- my husband had to clean it before he would even let us girls in. There was stuff on the floor of the bathroom also. Windows on doors leading out to the balcony could have been cleaned a little better. All in all, we still will definately go back. Could have been just a bad day for housekeeping! We did notice that although the "snack bar" says it is open from 10am-10pm (can't remember the exact times), we found it closed on Wednesday around noon! Food there was just okay. Still, highly recommend it for the enjoyment of the kids!

Best place to stay in town

The rooms were clean, the inn was very nice and clean, and the people who worked there were very polite. The swimming pools were well maintained and large in size. I enjoyed the lazy river, but the kids really enjoyed the water slide and the diving board. Great place to stay!

Good Stay

We enjoyed our short stay. June 22-23. The room was very clean and nice looking.
The pool was clean and our 6 year old has fun playing on the water slide.
We have to say our favorite part of the stay was eating at the Chop House!
YUM! I would go back just to eat there!! I don't know if we will ever be back to Pigeon Forge, but would recommend this Hotel and of course the Chop House!!

A Great Place to stay!

from goheels03
This hotel was really nice very clean and the pools were great! The rooms are bigger than most hotel rooms. The bathroom also very big. The free breakfast was also really good. The only problem we had with that is the line got long for the breakfast and the women would not bring out more food?? She told us she was out and then a different lady ended up bringing that same food out? Not sure why she was trying to hang onto the food? This was the only unfriendly person we met at the hotal! But other than that the stay was here was WONDERFUL! I would recommend anyone to stay here.

We enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed here for 3 days in March for a conference. It was very clean and quiet, the rooms were nice, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. It also had a well stocked continental breakfast that was replenished frequently. The Inn is just a short drive to just about anything in the area, including Gatlinburg. This is not an upscale hotel, but a very nice, middle of the road place to stay. The price was right too. We would definitely stay here again instead of one of the many outdated, dingy and overpriced rooms in Gatlinburg. We enjoyed our stay in Pigeon Forge very much.

Wonderful Surprise

from windy48
Jan 16 2005 on the way back from east Tennessee we decided on the spur of the moment to stay in the mountains. We arrived late and it was spitting snow. We were greeted by a warm fire in a huge stacked stpne fire place and a very friendly staff. The foyer was elegant and inviting and so was the room. It was very quite, very clean and well appointed. It was a excellent value and we would certainly stay there again.

Must stay here

from Newmommytojohnny
My husband and I stay in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge 3-4 times a year and this is by far the best hotel we ever stayed at there. The room we had (room 307) was overlooking the pool area (which was closed this time of year) and it was beautiful. There is the largest pool I ever saw in a hotel and 2 smaller ones (I think one's a lazy river and one has some kind of rainfall thing in it). Also, at night there were large "torches" lit that were spectacular. There was also a view of the mountains from our room and a nice sized balcony with a light. The bathroom was large. It had 2 sinks with a large bench, a mirrored closet and a seperate room (without a door) that had the toilet and shower. There were plenty of towels, and even a phone in the bathroom. There were also cotton balls, Q-tips and make-up remover cloths. We had a microwave and refrigerator (which was great because we have a toddler) and there were lights in the room that were on dimmer switches which was great because I had just enough light at night not to hurt myself trying to get to the bathroom at night but it wasn't too much to keep anyone awake. We didn't use the pool, but walked into it and it looked very nice and a jacuzzi area. The exercise room was small but had all the necessary equipment. The lobby is amazing and relaxing and people were there reading one evening in front of the fireplace. The continental breakfast isn't bad, no bacon and eggs but lots of other stuff. The staff was very nice also. This is by far our favorite hotel in the smokies now and we will definately stay again.

Dixie Stampede The Dixie Stampede was worth the money

Bar Scene I'm a regular in pigeon forge/g-burg so the attractions are kind of blah so-so to me.. But I like a nice bar scene.. Hard Rock Cafe, Puckers, and Blaines, TGIF have a nice bar scene for the 21-35.. Pigeon Forge is mostly a dry county, there's only certain things you can by and drink at resturants...which is a downfall for pigeon forge in my opinion. Gatlinburg has allot of hotels that have resturants in them that have bars with activities like karoke and such... For the Karoke lovers, PUckers offers it several nights a week plus pool/dart tournaments
