Top Local Tips for Pigeon Forge

Horseback riding I highly recommend Walden Creek Stables, for an amazing horse back riding experience. The staff was awesome. This was the highlight of our vacation in Pigeon Forge.

scenic drives If at all possible, you must do the Roaring Fork Nature Trail in Gatlinburg. It's a scenic drive that is absoluetly beautiful. Take traffic light 6 in Gatlinburg and follow the signs. We saw bears and breath taking views. Cades Cove is also a must see.. More of the same, a beautiful drive with lots of wildlife and scenic views. The best part is that it is free!!

Timing is Everything We arrived in Pigeon Forge on Wednesday, 12/12....needless to say it was NOT busy...we basically had two days (Wednesday/Thursday) to ourselves...Dollywood was NOT crowded, the shopping outlets were NOT crowded (and it is right before Christmas). We will definitely come at this time of the year next time.
