Pretty nice place

If you have a choice get a room in the back where you have private indoor parking practically next to your room. Very nice clean place. The only problems we had were with the very low water pressure and with the bathtub draining painfully slow. The balcony view of the river was pretty even though we went in February and it was too cold to sit outside.

Good stay at Greystone

Stayed at Greystone Lodge Feb. 13, 2005. Checkin staff was very nice, room was ready on time, Hotel is obviousely not a large chain hotel and could use a little freshing up in some places, but overall a very nice place to stay in Gatlinburg. You absolutely cannot beat the location. Next door to the trolley station and within easy walking distance of almost everything in Gatlinburg.

My sister and I stayed there on our last trip 2 years ago. We enjoyed the location and the hotel itself. I like the parking garage and being able to park and walk inside to your room. We are planning another trip this year and are getting ready to make our reservations there. I have shopped around online for pricing and the prices here are very good.

I stayed at Greystone at the Aquarium on 28 January 2005 and enjoyed it very much. The room was on the first floor and near the lobby area. It was very clean and spacious. The continental breakfast, with its wide assortment of food was very good. The lodge location was very convenient - across the street from the aquarium and adjacent to the stream - which had lots of water. The trolly was just a few feet from the lobby area. The staff was very friendly and helpful and invited me to return in April, when I plan on hiking and staying at Mt. Leconte Lodge in the National Park. I would definitely consider staying here again.

I would like to take a few minutes to let anyone know that is looking for a place to stay in Gatlinburg, this is you place. This hotel was great. The grounds, the room. Everything was perfect. The staff was wonderful. They helped turn what started out being the worst vacation ever to one of the best. We stayed somewhere our first night in town that was terrible. The Greystone Inn compared to the first place we stayed was like going from a barn to the best that money can buy. Thanks Greystone Inn, we will be back and we are telling our friends what a great place to stay at you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was my first time at Greystone Lodge. The room was very nice and the personnel working there were very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very good.

It isn't the Ritz, but it is a great place to stay in Gatlinburg! The staff is very friendly and the continental breakfast is adequate. Get there early for breakfast, though, and I would recommend requesting rooms in the buildings adjacent to the lobby. I have stayed in the building up on the hill and it is not as nice.

Stayed during the Tenn. vs Alabama Game. Room was ok at best. Price of the room was the highest in the area. They did have availability on just afew days notice. I paid $139 plus local taxes and fees for one night. If you stay in Gatlinburg, reserve early and plan on being in traffic about an hour from Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg.

Greystone Lodge Cottages

We just stayed 3 nights at the Greystone Lodge cottages. The cottage, owned by the lodge, was wonderful!!!! The cottage was a very up-scaled decorated cottage with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs and a living room, dining room/kitchen and 1/2 bath downstairs. The cottage was very clean and very reasonably priced. The cottage was cheaper than getting two motel rooms and much cleaner than any hotel room I have ever stayed in. I recommend the cottages to anyone and will return again!!!

Top Local Tips for Gatlinburg

aquarium The aquarium is a great attraction for families, And we were able to use my husband's military discount and got in for around 20.00 for three people.

Handicapped The handicapped rooms should not be outside on the 5th floor. They should be inside!! When you can't walk very well or in a wheel chair and it's raining or snowing or what have you, you don't want to have to go out in the weather, to get to the elevators. If anything, the 5th floor outside rooms should be the SMOKING ROOMS ONLY!

Dollywood Our first trip to Dollywood it rained, but if it does during your trip be sure to get a rain pass. We did and our second trip was wonderful. We really enjoyed the place and can't wait til our next trip back. To save money you might want to go in the evening the first day and come back the next day for free.
