Top Local Tips for Gatlinburg
All the flapjack, pancake, waffle houses............. Avoid them. All of them. Prices range from 5 bucks to 9 bucks for pancakes. I got the Parisenne pancakes. 3 think pancakes with strawberries rolled in them and topped with more berries and whipped cream. Ask. The berries were the stuff they use to make milk shakes too sweet too much. My spouse had buckwheat pancaks with pineapple. I think they just have figured out the least costly foods to make and serve. They overcharge for really bad food. I have found this to be true of most of them and would not reccomend one over the other. All equally as bad.
Recommend Old Mill in Pigeon Forge I highly recommend the Old Mill in Pigeon Forge. EXCELLENT country food.
Smoky Mountain Riding Stables Be sure to check out the hour long trail rides at this stable, on winding paths through the Park. It was great fun and a low cost (for Gatlinburg!)
