We were traveling with my husband's hockey team and this hotel was perfect. The rooms are nothing fancy, but it is a GREAT value. One team member got a suite and we were so glad he did. It was a perfect place for the team to hang out between games - also a GREAT value. It was a very large room w/ a fridge and microwave. Yes, the suites are located under operating store fronts, but on the weekends all the shops are closed and it is very quiet over there. We will stay there again for sure!

This was a special treat. My family and I were expecting some low budget motel. What we got was a comfortable bed and a quiet night. Miniture golf, Walmart, and a cozy casino were within walking distance. Not Fair Value, but GREAT Value!!!

Have stayed with FVI three times in the last 5 years. My sweetheart and I enjoyed our 2nd floor room just ajacent to the parking lot in front. The room was rather large for the $ always clean and in good repair. Plenty of fresh linen, quiet and very convieniently located to all Black Hills attractions. We feel it represents outstanding value in this very touristy area. We will go back again next year, our fourth visit. The other review I read on this site is not representative of this tidy, economical jewel!

This motel has two suites along with many regular rooms. I was looking for suites as our family was travling together, 7 people. Each suite is in a storefront next door to the motel. Has double glass doors for entrance covered by inexpensive drapes. These suites are under operating storefronts! Geico being one. We did not stay as the smell of the one that we booked was very stale and musty. The sofa bed mattress would not have been good enough to sleep on...lumpy thin and seemed to not be very clean.
