I have stayed at several resorts in Myrtle Beach that were wonderful. My friend and I decided last minute to drive over for the 4th of July just to get away. Since we waited til last minute there weren't any options, but the Wyndsurfer Hotel. The guy on the phone assured me it was clean. We drove 8 hours and arrived at 12:30 p.m. to discover it wasn't the room we were promised and that it was the only one left in the Hotel. We drove all over Myrtle Beach looking for anything other than there. Of course, with it being the 4th there wasn't any vacancies. We had to go back and check in at 3 and go to a room were we had to bleach and use Hospital Grade Disinfectant on everything just to feel like we could walk barefoot and take a shower without catching something. I work in the health field in a very sterile environment so it was very hard for me to suck it up and stay the night. A quick description as to what I cleaned: pubic hair on toilet and in shower, cigarette ashes and......

We were having a nice stay here till the elevator broke. We were on the 9th floor and had a ton of luggage between the 5 of us. We could not check out on time and later when we returned from breakfast we were locked out of our room where all our luggage was being kept. The building has only one elevator. When a second complaint was made the man at the desk asked my brother if we were handicapped!!!! He wanted us to carry all our stuff down 9 flights of stairs and offered no help. My mother has a fused veterbrae and my stepdad is 60 and there was no way they could carry all their luggage down 9 flights of stairs. We didn't end up leaving the hotel till almost 3pm which meant we had to hit all the rush hour traffic trying to get back to Laurens and my brother and I had to wheel all the luggage down all those stairs which took forever and we were both sore for 3 days afterwards. I was not impressed with the hospitality there and I found it very rude and donwnright awful that the man at......

We stay here everytime we go to Myrtle Beach and love it. The windsurfer had a nice family atmosphere. There is always ample parking. We continue to stay here in the future.

My sister and I visited the Wind Surfer Hotel and can highly recommend it to single woman travelling on their own. We felt safe and well cared for by the friendly staff. We received very good value for a room with an ocean front view and well equipped kitchen.

05/11/05. We just returned from Myrtle Beach. We stayed at the Wind Surfer Hotel. The staff are very friendly and accomadating. The rooms are very clean and neat. The pool area is pretty good also. The thing I liked the best was the large lawn area before the beach. When we return which we do quite often we will continue to stay there. It has become my favorite hotel for the price, & we have stayed at quite a few.
