Upon making reservations for two suites for a big family vacation, we couldn't go. I called to explain reason why and to also indicate we had stayed in the tower three years ago and rooms online did not look like what we had previously stayed in while at the Resort before, the rooms looked dated and dark, very old and non welcoming. I was told when I booked reservations that they were larger and alot nicer than the tower. Not True at all. They would not give me but half of my deposit back even with one month and half left before I would have arrived there. I am glad now that we were not able to go there and spend our vacation, if this is the way you are treated by not caring and trying to help you with your situation and falsely advertising their resort (if that's what it is) then things worked out for the best. Our family or extended family will not ever stay at the Yachtsman Resort Hotel.

We called around looking for hotels like any other family and were given incorrect information regarding the hotel, booked the hotel, and after speaking to several different staff members, who gave different opinions of the hotel, tried to cancel with false information provided, they wouldn't refund the money and were very hateful in dealing with the manager, who was especially crappy and basically said we were lying about the staff giving false information. I do not recommend this hotel at all....

My family and I called in April to make a reservation for our vacation in June. We asked how updated the hotel is and was told that it was very up to date and nice. We ended up having to call back to change our date and spoke with a different staff member. This was maybe 1 week later, no more than that. The other staff member told us that the hotel was nice, but not up dated and some of the things we were told that the hotel had, it didn't. We ended up cancelling our reservation to find somewhere else to stay. The hotel surcharged us $200.00. We even spoke with the manager, but she was very rude. They would not give us back the $200.00. I would not recommend this hotel. They seem very unsure of themselves!

Growing up, I had always heard of how nice the Yachtsman was to stay. Therefore, when we got the opportunity to stay at the Yachtsman at a reasonable price....we were quite disappointed. The conditions were average at best. A great deal of construction was going on outside which made it difficult to have a baby sleep, rest, or simply for us to hear the TV. Also, the rooms are very cramped. We pretty much decided after that stay it would be the last.
