The entire hotel is a dump. As you arrive you start to see the horrible condition of the hotel. I am coming from Washington, DC and have stayed at hotels within this price range and never had this problem. The walls, the elevator, the bathroom, I could go on and on!!!! The hotel needs to be renovated or either closed down.

Top Local Tips for Myrtle Beach

Hotel stays If you have the money, stay on the beach between about 15th and 25th Avenue NORTH. This puts you in a very nice area near restaurants and beach shops. It is also a very short drive to Broadway at the Beach (21st Avenue North)

Shell Collecting 1. Capn' Rod's Shell and Lighthouse tour at Georgetown is GREAT.....for shell collecting, history of the area, and a great time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 2. Myrtle Beach State Park: Great place for shells. Worth the admission price of $4 per person to get in. 3. Huntington Beach Park: Spend the $5 per person. It's worth it to see the alligators in the marsh and collect shells on the beach..........a lot bigger than on the ocean in downtown Myrtle.

Le Grand Cirque The show at the Palace Theatre is worth the trip to Myrtle Beach. Tickets are of great value and the show was stunning. I would go again. If time allows, the shows at the IMAX, particularly the 3-D shows are a nice afternoon entertainment. We ate at the Original Benjamins twice while there-DO NOT make the mistake and eat at the oe in on King's Hwy in South Myrtle, it is a dump!!! The one in North Myrlte is great-go very hungry and plan to eat. Magnificent variety of food and delightful serving staff. If you go in season, you may have a bit of a wait
