BOARDWALK Remember people from up North, THERES NO BOARDWALK. The main street where all the hotels are on is your outside your hotel entertainment. There is a walkway with no stores or anythhing. That is your boardwalk. But it is fun. You can rent bikes, take a romantic walk, anything.

Hard Place to Understand If you are an experienced sea swimmer, find a hotel that trusts its guests not to drown themselves. I understand that many people are not hip to riptides and the dangers of swimming in the ocean, but these people in Myrtle Beach are just over the top. If you look like you're from the Great White North, they'll run up and grab you by the arm, tell you not to go in over your ankles. What? Are you kidding me!?!?!? Expect to take your trip to dinner before 5:00 p.m. or after 9:00 because the traffic is just horrendous and the restaurants are very crowded.
