We were at the hotel for 5 nights and had to have maintenance in our room several times, from a sink that leaked in the bathroom, the toilet was stopped up and the kitchen sink was stopped, the worst part was that the maintenance made a terrible mess everytime they came in and left it, there was such a mess left under our kitchen sink that i had to throw away about $20 dollars work of storage bags that were ruined due to water and some type of black substance. We have stayed at your hotel for the last several years with our family but the maintenance problem is the worst i have ever seen, there are even large black smears on the walls, that have recently been redone, due to the lack of protecting them by the maintenance department. Surely these items can be improved upon. The housekeeping is also worthless, they did not bring dish towels, dish detergent or enough towels. It was pitiful. Surely these items need to get some attention from the owners and management.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I was greeted by a very friendly desk clerk. They were very knowledgeable, and answered all questions I needed answering. They were very polite. The room was sparling. Everything was neat and clean. I enjoy my stay at Tropical Winds every time I visit the Myrtle Beach area. This is the only place my family and I stay. I love the service.

A great place to stay. Very quiet and clean. Elevaters are very slow because kids not supervised push all the floors making it stop. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The place does not look anything like the pictures online. The building is old and the rooms are clearly in need or renovation.
I specifically booked an oceanfront efficiency with a king size bed, and my confirmation email says that also. When I showed up, they gave me a room with 2 double beds. I reminded them that my reservation was for an oceanfront efficiency with king size bed. They replied that all the oceanfront rooms had double beds only, no king size bed. There was no apology and no offer to discount my room rates.
The hotel also described their efficiency units as having a fully equipped kitchen. That was another untruth. The kitchen had only 2 plates, 1 bowl, 2 forks, 3 small pots/pans, 3 butter knives, 3 spoons, 1 serving spoon and one slotted spoon. THAT'S IT!
Front desk customer service was awful with personnel having an I-don't-care attitude.
I would not ever stay at this hotel again.

We stayed at the tropical winds the begining of july and and we somewhat enjoyed the stay. I really don't know if we would come back to the hotel or not. The room was always clean on time but the only problem was that we have called in for wake up calls and never got them once and we never got any towels or toilet paper had to call down for them. The elavators don't work so well.So don't think we will come back.
