Previous owner of a 3 bedroom condo at Forest Dunes, and since all units (18 floors) are indivdually owned, just make sure upon checking in you let check in/resvationists know what and how you want your 1 bedrm/1.5 bath or 3 bedrm/2 bath condo...since selling, and now staying in various 1 and 3 bedroom units, have always been pleased with the staff and the unit assigned to us...plenty of "extras" in most units...from large screen TV's to boom boxes/CD players, etc...many owners have a good selection of reading material and games/cards as well as well equipped kitchens. Plenty of place-servings, and other kitchen "gadgets". After much comparison on condo's in myrtle & n.myrtle beach, Forest Dunes offers more room (interior & exterior) square feet per unit, than any other property on the Grand Strand. The downstairs pool bar & guest lounge called "Coconuts" has a limited menu selection, but something there for everyone, along with the friendless of the owners of this bar. Has a pool table, darts, various arcade games, and good selection of music in jukebox. Has a great view of the ocean, along with a indoor pool just thru a glass door. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, although the owners will admit they wish they had more indoor room. But quite fun (and generious with the mixed drinks)in the off season as well as in the highted summer season. Check it out!

This resort is low key but has everything you could want. Units are individually owned so they vary in decor, but they also have a homey feel and are a lot bigger than most. Everything is smaller than at the big, bustling resorts, but it's all there and very relaxing. Great place to enjoy the beach, and a short trip to shows, shopping and downtown glitz.
