We were in Myrtle Beach, SC & decided to extend our trip. However, all of the hotels were booked for September 10 & 11. We contacted this hotel & paid for Sept. 10. Upon arrival, before going into room, we booked another night. Huge mistake. We went to our oceanfront room & found numerous issues. For starters, there was an oily film on the toilet seat. There was rust on ALL of the appliances including inside. Fungus was growing under the microwave on top of the refrigerator. Some type of (rat?) droppings were behind the microwave on the refrigerator. Cigarette burns & mildew stains were all over the comforters as well as tears. I checked the bed linens & saw a brown spot on the pillow. I removed the pillow from the case & saw mildew stains all over it. There was mold on the ceiling & the bath tub looked as though it had never been cleaned. And another safety hazard was that the smoke alarm did not have batteries. We were given a refund-which I am still waiting to clear my bank-on Friday. It is unbelievable that this property is allowed to do business. I will not stay there & do not wish this place on my worst enemy.
