Top Local Tips for Charleston
Some dining tips 1) High Cotton is a must for dinner. Make sure they'll have live music which makes for a romantic evening. 2) Chai's is a great place for late night Asian style tapas. We arrived to town late, went there for a bite to eat and were not disappointed with the food or the lively ambience. 3)Skip Kaminsky's for dessert and have it with your dinner. We left High Cotton to go to Kaminsky's for dessert and they couldn't accomdate the two of us late on a Thursday. Plus the food in the case did not look as good as I remembered from previous trips. 4) DO NOT buy the sweet potato pancake mix from Joseph's. The pancakes were great at the restaurant, but I learned that the mix is made of all artificial ingredients and trans fats.
The TOURS!!! We went on 4 tours. The adult night tour by Bulldog Tours- great. The Pub Tour- Great historical facts and it was the best tour we went on. Our guide was amazing. The Carriage Tour- Great, learned alot of history about the city. The Middleton Plantation Tours- THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE. I absolutely adored this. Be ready to spend the whole day and wear comfortable shoes. Amazing!!!
