I don't understand the bad reviews of this hotel. I went to Aiken on business and was lucky enough to discover this gem. It is old and it's obvious that they;ve been working on it, but I didn't have any problems. My rooms was perfectly clean and the bed was as good as any. The internet worked, both the hard-wired and the wireless and after I had finished my work I went down to probably the best hotel bar I have ever visited in my amny years of travelling. It was full of very friendly locals and other guests.I had an absolute ball! I'm sure it was a bit noisy towards the end of the night, but they say they are "party central" on thier website and they sure are. It was great to stay in an old-style hotel that knows how to let it's hair down! I even got to meet and have a drink with the very friendly owner and his wife. Not many places you can do that now. If you like a good time and good people you should try this place. I won't stay anywhere else when I'm in Aiken again.
