get a small rental car! remember, the town was built in the day of horses and not SUV's. Streets are one-way, tight, and with "alternate" paving!

Explore by car as well as by foot. There is a great deal to do and see. Some is better done by car, some on foot. Check online for special events in Newport. There is always something worthwhile. Ocean Drive is beautiful and lunch at the Castle Hill, a Relaix and Chateau property, is a treat. Not cheap, but a beautiful view and great food.
