Inconsiderate dog walkers Keep one eye on the ground. It seems that in Newport R.I., they don't "enforce" the clean up after your pet law. There was so much dog waste right on the sidewalks, it was disgusting and it can ruin your day when you step in a big pile of ............... It was even on the stoop right in front of a store. Come on!!! Having dogs is great but be considerate of everyone else. I think if Newport police fined these people, enforced the law it would make things even more pleasant because Newport is a wonderful place to visit.

When You're "Mansioned Out" Do The Backstairs Tour At The Elms Gilded room after gilded room, they all start to run together! The backstairs tour of The Elms gave us a look at how the staff lived and worked and at the behind the scenes workings of this great mansion. You could imagine the hard work that went into the day to day operations, while all the time the staff was expected to remain invisible.
