Top Local Tips for Pittsburgh

Carnegie Museums Pittsburgh itself is a well kept secret but I think the size and quality of the Carnegie Museums are unfortunately also unkown to many. Each time we go we are amazed at both the permanent collections and the wonderful traveling exhibitions they have on a regular basis. We have heard more than once that Pittsburghers do not realize the number and quality of cultural assets their city has.

Casbah This is an expensive restaurant but the food from salad to entree to dessert is made from the best ingredients and cooked with skill.

Great Brewery We made special trip to church. That is, The Church Brew Works. This is a beautifully restored church where the alter has all the copper kettles and the eating tables have pews for seats. The food was good and the beer was great.
