This location and proximity to the airport was great. The only problem was getting back to the hotel from remote parking. The shuttle took us back to the airport, and then had to walk throught the terminal in order to get back to the hotel.

d better have some change!

from A TripAdvisor Member
I was in Philadelphia for a manager's meeting at our corporate office, and was booked into the Airport Marriott for the last night since it offered the convenience of location for my early morning flight. The room and all expenses were to be paid by the company, and all paperwork relating to this arrangement was on file with Marriott prior to my check-in.
Checking in was a nightmare. The man I was having to deal with had a definite elitest attitude problem. At first he could not find the reservation. When he did, he stated loud enough for the entire lobby to hear, that it was done through Travelocity. Found the reservation and then proceeded to ask me how I intended to pay for incidentals and secure phone service to the room. I told him they had the corporate credit card info on file and it would all be covered by that. He asked another man if he knew about it and he said no. Neither bothered to look for the paperwork and signatures and copy of the Amex card. He said I had to pay for things myself. OK. The line's getting longer behind me. I give my VISA card and get my key. Before I turned to go, I asked if he would give me change for a $20 bill. I was informed they do not do that. I was told to walk to the airport and get change there! I walked to my room instead.
When I found it, it was not as nice as one would expect. It smelled, and the bathroom was pathetic for such a high-end hotel.
Since I wasn't quite up to "walking" to the airport to get change for a $20, I realized I couldn't get drinks or snacks from the vending machines, because they didn't give change. So I had to order room service, of which I paid $26 for a small Pizza Hut pizza and two drinks.
My request for a wake-up call was treated in a way that I was concerned I wouldn't be called so I ended up staying awake all night so I could be at the airport at 4:30am. When I did check out, I asked for a receipt, and was told one would be put under my door. Unfortunatedly, I turned in the key because I was at the front desk ready to catch the shuttle bus, not in my room! Never recv'd a receipt. And I'll never stay in any Marriott again. Our company, when they learned of this fiasco, immediately contacted them, and I think we have decided not to make use of their "services" any more. I myself wrote to Marriott and complained, but never received a reply to this day.

Good Hotel.

I just stayed here August 5th and for a hotel attached to an airport, this is one of the better ones. It was nice to walk across the bridge to get there. It was very quiet - not a bit of airplane traffic. The front desk staff was very friendly. They gave us early check in (10 am) and late check out( 2pm). I am a silver elite member with Marriott and they gave me access to the concierge level. The view from the 15 th floor was neat of the airport. The concierge room was great. Continental breakfast, sodas and water all day, afternoon adult drinks with appetizers, and dessert at night. The pool is a real lap pool with a cutout at the end. The fitness room was adequate, not the best I've seen. The rooms were well appointed but a little small. The beds were comfortable. I called and they brought me a refridgerator. I would stay here again.

Best Soundproof Airpot Hotel in the US

from silverlinden
I am always leary about staying at airport hotels because of the loud noises from the inbound and outbound planes. It usally means No Sleep! What an outstanding experience I had at the Philadelphia Marriott Airport. This is the only airport hotel (and it is in the airport) that is totally sound proof! You hear nothing....not even the people above, below or next to you or the other doors closing on your floor.

In addition, the service totally exceeded my expectations. The front desk staff was not only the friendliest I have encountered, but the associate took the time to walk out from behind the desk and walk me to the elevator. She was more than happy to grant me access to the concierge lounge at no additional charge and to top it off, welcomed me with a Marriott Chocolate Cany Bar!

I will most definately be back! The rooms are clean, comfortable and newly remodeled.

What a joy!

Great welcome, nice hotel

Having stayed at airport hotels in many cities over the years, I was dreading what I'd find at the Philadelphia airport Marriott after a long and tiring flight from California. I was pleasantly surprised when the doors to the hotel sprung open, instantly moving me from the hustle and noise of the airport to calm and well-appointed surroundings. Without being asked, the staff automatically upgraded me to the concierge level (I am a Marriott rewards member), which included access to appetizers, an honors bar, and a desert bar in the evening and a continental breakfast a step above the ordinary hotel fare. The room was very clean and quiet and the beds were comfortable. A nice touch: a phone call from the service desk a few minutes after check-in to see if there was anything I needed. Room service was very prompt, food was so-so from room service but the meal we had in the hotel restaurant itself was better. The next day, I had a long drive to make and looked forward to returning to the hotel that night. It was terrific to be able to walk across the street to the rental car lots and get on the road without hassle. Even better was being able to take my time getting organized the morning before our flight. There is a free shuttle that will bring you back to the terminals, but I found it just as easy to walk across the bridge and into the terminal (US air is directly across from the hotel). Staying here was really a treat --- and the room rate was actually less than I'd paid to stay at a Comfort Inn and a Hampton Inn a few weeks before. I highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling in or out of the Philadelphia airport.

Welcome Home

Very friendly and helpful staff from mangement to room service personnel.
Clean comfortable quiet room you would never know it was a airport location. Easy access to and from city either by car or rail. I most definitely would stay and recommend this hotel.

Very Good Property

This hotel is an excellent choice. I actually was not using the airport, but rather was attending games at Citizens Bank Park, which is just a short 10 minute ride away. Access to downtown Philly is also very good, around 20 minutes straight on I-95.

The hotel itself is in very good condition, with excellent cleanliness and attention to detail. Even as a Silver Member of Marriott Rewards, I was upgraded to the concierge level, which was a nice touch. My room had a remarkable view of the PHL Airport, which I found to be visually interesting. Despite overlooking the runways, there was virtually no noise as the hotel is very well soundproofed.

The room itself was on the smallish size but very well furnished with high quality materials in good condition. It was very clean and smelled fresh. The bed was comfortable, though I was not particularly fond of the smallish pillows that were too soft for our liking.

Our rate included breakfast in the RiverBend restaurant, making it a good value. The breakfast was very, very good. It was buffet style, but with made to order omelettes and waffles which tasted very good. The wait staff was friendly and attentive.

Parking is next door in the Terminal C garage. There is a level dedicated to the Marriott---its impossible to miss and seemed quite safe and cost $12 a night, with easy in and out priviledges. Both the airport and the garage and connected with an indoor pedestrian bridge.

My wife and I wandered over to the airport, but quickly discovered there is nothing accessible outside of security whatsover. The pedestrian bridge actually leaves you right at a security checkpoint, so for those traveling who are able to obtain boarding passes in advance and aren't checking bags, it would be particularly convenient.

This would be a good hotel anywhere, but for an airport property it was particularly impressive.

Not a Good Value

Comfort-wise this hotel was very decent (except for the plane noise which was sort of like muffled thunder) There was a nice gym with modern equipment and a mediocre, small pool. The beds were comfy. The room was clean. The staff was overbearingly friendly. Still, for the price I paid ($116/day, plus tax), I was extremely unhappy with all of the extra charges such as $12/day for parking in a lot that did not appear safe (there is even a sign posted warning as much). The online advertising makes it seem that internet access is included. Not so! There is an additional steep fee. A bottle of Evian was placed on the desk of our room with what appeared to be a typical ad around the neck of the bottle. The "ad" states in fine print that a $4 fee will be charged to your room if the bottle is consumed. What? There are no small fridges or microwaves in the rooms, so you are captive to their high priced restaurant and gift shoppe. I do not appreciate being treated like a chump. In the future, I would much rather have all charges disclosed up front before making a decsion on where to stay.

Nice place parking expensive

from beachgirl22
Philadelphia Airport Marriott is a lovely hotel and gives you direct access to the terminal. But, we felt it was very unclear on the parking issue until after we had checked in. On the phone I was told it was $12.00 a day which for the convenience of being right at the airport was worth it. But upon arrival I learned that it was $12.00 a day ONLY for the night I had stayed at the hotel. After that it was $17.00 a day. So for my 9 day trip parking ended up costing me $128.00 payable to the Philadelphia Parking Authority and $12.00 for one night to the hotel! I found this to be a little bit of a scam.

Great place for the money

Stayed here for a weekend while visiting the Dali exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Paid $80 AAA rate which was very reasonable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Free internet access was a plus. The only comment I make is that the first floor has a strong smell of chlorine from the pool. Our rooms were on the 2nd floor so it was not a problem. The lobby cafe had a nice breakfast buffet plus they will make cook to order eggs and it was delicious. It's not open for dinners though. I'd stay here again.
