historical sites The liberty bell- no tickets needed but you have to undergo a security check which involves a body and package scanner. Lines form but they move quickly. Independence Hall- FREE tickets are required and can be obtained from the Independence visitor's center which opens at 830 a.m. Lines form early. I got there at 8:40 and already there was a long line. This for me was the highlight of all the historical places. US mint- closed on weekends. I scheduled it for a saturday and found it to be closed.

best way to see sights If you are travelling to philadelphia with children you must try the duck tour ,it is a great way to see this lovely city and learn lots in the process.It is loud and raucous but the kids love it especially entering the delaware river.
