Not just Amish Although the Amish are a huge attraction in Lancaster County, I'd advise you to check out some of the non-Amish attractions as well. Downtown Lancaster has a variety of things to do, such as First Fridays, nights out at the bar, art exhibits, and plenty of other city activities. Check out www.padutchcountry.com and look at their events calendar when you plan to go! They list a variety of events and you can select the dates you'll be there to see the events.

Bird-In-Hand Restaurant Wonderful buffet style restaurant--with many local Amish/ Pennslyvania Dutch type dishes. Very family friendly, good service and a big favorite with local traffic as well. Also have a Gift Shop in the Lobby. Think of your favorite local place and put it Bird-In-The-Hand, PA and you've got this great stop!
