Tour the Amish Villages Fun on the back roads but the traffic on Route 30 is like New York City.

There were a lot of shopping stores around on rt 30 The best way to get around traffic is to use the back roads. You will run into Buggy traffic but it is much pleasant to see that then look at truck traffic

shopping I would say that the outlet selection is nice if you are looking to do some shopping but beware that some of the employees can be rude in the lancaster outlet area! my children and I entered several stores and were never offered assistance to find things we were looking for. In one store the employees were too busy socializing to ring my selection so we left.
