Do the research before you book your room This hotel is beautiful inside all the rooms. The pool is awesome inside and the staff are so polite too. The cleanliness was excellent considering they allow small pets in the suites. I can't say enough about how attentive the cleaning staff are! About booking your room...do yourself a BIG favor and ask NOT to be placed on the side where the highway is located. No matter what room you are in along that side, you will never sleep and grind your teeth all night! Search around for Millers Restaurant and book in advance for the best meal you ever ate! Garfields in the hotel was disappointing and I ate there on both visits to my disappointment. The Waffle House is great for breakfast and don't forget to check out "Sight and Sound Theatre". I loved this hotel and came here two times in one year.

Shady Maple Smorgesborg You eat free on your Birthday, be sure to bring your diver license or other document to show your date of birth. Allow plenty of extra time for browsing in their gift shop.

amish country Avoid the strip malls and outlet centers on 30 and head for the Amish towns on 340 instead. Kids love the buggy rides and shoofly pie. A nice side trip to the south is Strasburg, which is a haven for kids who like trains. In addition to the steam train ride, there's a train museum, a toy train museum and the Red Caboose Motel, which has 10 cabooses for overnight stays.
