I travel on business at lease 10 nights a month, and on a rare occasion, I've needed to ask for something from a manager (or manager on duty) -- but have NEVER ever been treated with such disgrace! I was in Erie for a family wedding and booked a room at the Avalon because they advertised 2 parking spaces in integral garage per room(I only needed 1 space for my brand new luxury car). When finding the parking lot full, they instructed us to park 1 1/2 blocks away and walk (in wedding attire and heels) to the hotel. When I went to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager, Mike Koler (clerk) was extremely rude to me and my family (as I have NEVER been treated in my entire life). He told me that a manager was not available and would not attempt to discuss the issue at all. He abruptly went to his computer and said that he didnt want to hear another word and with that, he threw us out of our room (bride, standing there w/ shoes in her hand) as polite as could be, and then he had security escort us to our room to gather our things. He threw a cardboard "policy" sign in our faces and said that he would call the police if we didn't leave the hotel immediately. We had to take the other 5 couples (who were to stay at that hotel) and the after party (40 people who were waiting for us at Benjamins lounge in the hotel) to another location. My husband and I had no other place to stay so we had to drive 3 hours home that evening. They really ruined the wedding that day for us!
