Should have asked to see the room before I used my credit card. Was suppose to be a smoke free room but wreaked of cigarette smoke. Carpets were filthy and stained, window curtains smelled terrible, there was no phone, no radio, no alarm clock and a box fan for A/C. The bathroom reminded me of motels from the 60's. Had to open the windows and leave open due to the smell. Tried to find another place but being Fourth of July weekend, the town was booked. What was found was a very nice, completely remodeled motel with gas fireplaces, flat screen TVs, phones, JACUZZI tubs, kitchenettes, for LESS money than what the place was we were at! Unfortunately, this desirable motel was booked up. The Royalle needs to do some major renovation, other than just painting. It also needs to adjust its rates to be in line with what it has to offer. Who wants to pay for a prime rib dinner and get served a cold, day old burger off the dollar menu?

GREAT Time on the Oregon Coast My wife and I along with our two Granddaughters just returned from the Best Western Resort in Seaside Oregon. What a place! We had a ball playing in the sand and ocean, enjoying the local attractions and just kicking back. How relaxing and boy did I ever need it! And the folks in charge of this hotel were all smiles and actually happy to see us let alone give us world class service. The hotel staff was simply the best! The food, from there Italian restaurant was to die for! (Kids eat free) when joined by an adult so the expenses we saved allowed us to enjoy a nice bottle of win along with the scrumptious dinner. Yummy! The view out of our suite was breathtaking and we just hating to come back to reality as check-out time came too soon. We will be back next year or even sooner if we can. Thanks again to the staff at the best Western Resort for making our stay a memorable experience. We would recommend this property to any family or couple just wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday grind. Have a GREAT summer, we did, Patrick & Darlene Goss, Molly & Lilly
