Ease of travel We are from Nevada. We can be at the Lanai with our feet up, watching the waves, in 5 1/2 hours and that includes driving and wait time at the airport. We could not believe the ease of getting from the desert to the ocean for a real change of scenery! When we want a romantic get-away, this is the place!
Great variety of restaurants Try Dooger's restaurant in Seaside, Mo's in Cannon Beach, and Gunderson's Cannery Cafe in Astoria. All excellent selection of fresh seafood, reasonably priced and delicious.
