The Paramount Hotel provides a quiet comfortable refuge in a convenient downtown location. Portland is an interesting and attractive city and the Paramount sits just back from the main shopping distict and within walking distance of many fine resaturants (Jake's is not to be missed) and a block from Nordstrom. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern and the decor is attractive. I have stayed there before and will go back again when I return to visit family.

The Paramount Hotel in Portland is luxurious, quiet and convenient. Our stay at the Paramount afforded us a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Portland. No crowds to fight and a very nice restaurant and lounge and valet service.

Top Local Tips for Portland

Great Place for Lunch - and snacks to bring back to the hotel for later! GO TO ELEPHANTS DELI - IT'S AMAZING. You'll be overwhelmed if it's your first time, so take lots of samples and get a little of everything! I recommend taking stuff back to the hotel. It's a great place for healthy and delicious food - but they've got pizza and desserts etc. too. It's a great place for everyone to find something they can eat. Just go. That's all I can say. Check out Manzanita Beach. Looking for great Jazz? Go to Jimmy Mak's in the Pearl District and you don't have to wait for the summer for this!

Great little Italian Joint across the street I know Dragonfish in the Paramount is a highly-regarded Asian-fusion restaurant, but we really enjoyed a new well-priced Italian restaurant across the street from the hotel called Pastini's. Romantic atmosphere and tasty food.
