Spacious, Modern and Very Clean

We stayed at the Red Lion PDX in March of 2005. The rooms were very large and quiet. We had everything we needed at our disposal, fridge, microwave, hairdryer, coffee maker, two large sinks. The breakfast room was very nice and food was certainly ample for a continental, bagels, toast, waffles, muffins. I would have preferred yogurt and a better fruit selection, over the sweet rolls and doughnuts, but I realize the those options are very popular in the U.S. We found the area immediately around the hotel somewhat rundown, but safe. I would certainly recommend this hotel to budget consious, but particular travellers. It is well worth the internet rate. Keep in mind this is not a 5 star hotel, but well above the "budget type" hotels.
