| Best Deal on the Ocean |
We paid $99 US dollars for a one bedroom Kitchenette on the ocean. That was a steal. The staff was helpful, the town friendly and the room, comfortable. |

| Quiet, unpretentious and good value |
We've been coming here in the off season for almost 20 years now and we're making reservations for another winter weekend this winter. Sure, it's a little tired around the edges, but the service is friendly, the location is fantastic and the price is right. The ocean is right across the street and you can walk to anything you need in Manzanita. A great place for a weekend getaway. |

| Inexpensive Oceanfront |
Finding an oceanfront hotel that doesn't rape your bank account is TOUGH! I found this hotel and booked a room for three nights on-line. It was clean, service was friendly and we ended up staying a week. It is by no means meant for snobs with money - so if you want to stay on the ocean (stones throw away) and not expect rose pedals on your bedspread and over priced lodging, you will love this place. Thumbs up to the Sunset Surf! |

| Here's your plunger?!! |
Where shall I start?? The only attribute this motel has is its location, as it is across the street from Manzanita Beach. The motel other than that is a joke. The staff is terrible. Our toilet backed up and their maintenance man looked at it and couldn't fix it but didn't think the motel would call a plumber and then he handed my husband a plunger? The rooms have kitchens but nothing works properly and is probably circa 1960's.The motel is also dirty and the maid service is a joke. My neighbor in the room next door had the same sand on her bathroom floor for three days. We could have rented a small house about two blocks from the beach for the same amount and the next time we will. What a nightmare!!! |
