food we had good food at the restaurant at the lumber yard 2 min walk away
Take advantage of weather when you can! Cannon Beach and the Oregon Coast are great. The weather can be ever changing though. If you are there during inclement time, be on the lookout for breaks. One morning we were able to do a great early walk before the wind built up and the beach was practically empty. The next morning it was windy but the evening proved wonderful. Be flexible and ready to make a change in our schedule.
Town rolls up the sidewalks We were there at the very beginning of tourist season, so it may be different during the summer, but plan your activities early (before 7 p.m) for everything, including dining. Shops close very early, restaurants between 6 and 7:30, with rare exceptions. Do NOT miss the fresh half-shell oysters at Mo's restaurant. Best ever!
