The Crest was overall a great experince. It's in a quiet little area away from the city bustle but easy to find. The rooms were nice and big and almost gave you a cabin feeling from the outside. It was very well kept outside and inside. The people were friendly and it just had a great feeling about it. I would recomend it to anyone that was going to stay in Astoria.

Danish pasteries Take a trip to the Danish Bakery - the cherry turnovers were grand!
take your time you can spend a week eating your way thru Astoria, especially when you insert trips to the maritime museum (NOT! to be missed) astoria column, Flavel house etc. etc.etc.
Geno's On our way to the motel we were starving as it was getting late. We passed Geno's when it was dusk and thought about stopping but hesitated as it looked more like a tavern and we had a child with us. While checking in, hubby inquired about restaurants and they suggested Geno's back down the road. So back we went and we weren't disappointed. I had a burger...very good. Hubby had delicious fish and chips and I don't remember what our daughter had, but she enjoyed it. Small operation with excellent staff, friendly waitpeople.
