Top Local Tips for Astoria

Rogue Ale House Located on a pier on the east side of Astoria, the Rogue Ale House is located in a former Bumble Bee Tuna cannery. Rogue Ale took the place over as a restaurant a few months ago and, while they won't be brewing on site, they do have a great selections of beers and ales. Our server was enthusiastic about the place and the food was uniformly good among the four of us. Two thumbs up!

Must do - Shallon winery Across from the maritime museum and behind the Custard King, the Shallon winery is a one of a kind place. Paul van der Veldt is the owne/wine maker and he can tell you anything about the process. I have been here almost every year since 99 and look forward to his tour and information. Everytime we go there we will bring new people with us to enjoy the experience. He has a Chocolate Orange wine with no artificial flavors and 4-5 other wines at a time. This is a must do for Astoria. He is open daily from 1pm to 6pm. He can also provide you with recommedations on where to eat in Astoria. This trip he recommended Drina Daisy (Bosnian food) and the peruvian restaurant, both of them were really good.
