We stayed at the Comfort Inn for the Annual Fraternal Order of Police Polar Bear Plunge and took part in the activities. It was a very nice place to stay! The personnel at the motel went above and beyond to serve all of us! We had a great time thanks to the Comfort Inn in Austinburg. Everything was just as we were told on the web site and by word of mouth - A great place to stay!

Top Local Tips for Austinburg

Where to stay From what I saw the Holiday Day Inn Express was the best hotel in the Austinburg area. Other hotels were older or just not kept up.

Lots to do in Ashtabula County Lots of wineries, covered bridges, lots to see and beautiful Lake Erie. Austinburgh seems to be the closest place to find hotels. It is close to everything so it was handy. Nice ride along Lake Erie to Geneva on the Lake. It is hard to explain but it is kinda like walking down the midway of an old amusement park. It is very nostalgic. Putt Putt courses, shooting games, water slides, karoake, food stands and restaurants. There is a winery or two as well. Went south instead of north and saw a super long covered bridge and lots more wineries. I heard there is a medeval faire close by but it was too early for that.

Saving If you are going to Lake Erie, in the the way on I90.
