Thrift shops The women I was witih really enjoyed shopping at the many different thrift shops available in Grand Forks. There was a Dakota Boys Ranch one, Easter Seals Goodwill, Salvation Army store, The Arc and another. They were all fairly close to each other - off of DeMers or Washington St.
Gambling For some reason, every time we are in Grand Forks, the blackjack dealers in the lounges believe they should be making $100/hour. They get really mad when you don't tip and start to deal real slow or throw your chips at you. One dealer, when asked, said of course he would take excess tips from drunk people. He was a true idiot, Patrick dealing for LDC.
