They have recently redone all the carpeting and tile floors in the bathroom, and have new mattresses in most rooms. The lobby and continental breakfast have been redone, and are nice. The bathrooms have the curved shower rods, allowing for more room when having a shower. There is an exercise room with two pieces of equipment. Continental breakfast consists of juice, coffee, bread, bagels, donuts, and make-your-own waffles.
Now for the bad - the tile surrounding the bathroom is moldy, the lampshades are disgustingly stained and dirty, the bedding may or may not be stained with holes, depending on what room you stay in, the toilets may be stained and wobbly. The furniture is dated, the chairs in our room have been very stained on several visits. The bathrooms are tiny, with barely enough room to move - the sinks our outside of the bathrooms, typical budget hotel style.
Beware, when booking through Priceline, they placed us in a little hole of a room with a double bed that looks like it has been around since the 1950s. The room was smaller than a modern walk-in closet, barely enough room to fit the double bed and some furniture. They wanted $30/night to upgrade to a reasonably sized room with two queens or a king. We were shocked - we had bid on a 2* hotel. So we contacted the front desk and politely informed them that it was not a satisfactory room for a 2* hotel. The front desk clerk reluctantly moved us, and although she had been friendly before that point, she was horribly rude to us thereafter, making for a very uncomfortable stay.
If you are looking for a budget/economy hotel, if you can check into this place at a reasonable price you will be pleased with your stay (if they don't put you into a double room). But if you end up paying more than a Super 8 or Econolodge, you may find yourself disappointed.
