Top Local Tips for Charlotte

Lynx Rail System We used the Lynx Rail system all 4 days of the ACC Tournament and found it be quite useful. On Friday morning, however, they did not seem to have enough rail cars to handle the load and we missed the first 5 minutes of the Carolina game at noon despite being at the Scaleybark station (which we used all 4 days) an 1.5 hours before game time (the rail ride is 15 minutes to the arena from that stop). Three full trains passed us jammed to the brim. So, if you are attending an event with a specific start time, make sure you are there either 2 hours before it starts or be willing to hop on a southbound train to get a seat for the northbound ride.
