Top Local Tips for Asheville

The Stable Restaurant at the Biltmore Estate not the best choice If you wish to enjoy a burger, do not buy one here. The meat was so terribly overcooked that it arrived looking just as it tasted, dry, without any flavor and cooked far too long. I told the waiter in advance I wanted it cooked medium, but it came out well done anyway, and he said that's just the way it's done there, something to do with state health rules regarding food temperatures. On the other hand, my husband ordered the sampler platter with ribs and bbq which he thoroughly enjoyed, and we both really liked the cole slaw and potatoes. Just don't take the bait and pay far too much for lousy burgers here!

Eat at the Tupelo Honey Cafe What an amazing meal we had. Great food, nice atmosphere all at a reasonable price.

Biltmore Estate Definitely worth seeing! Can't wait to back and see it in the spring
