As an organized hotel business, don't expect much. But if you just want a place to lay your head, this is clean and as near "leaf" country as you can get. While they serve nice lunch and dinners in the separate restaurant/bar, you must travel 5 miles for breakfast. Not a big deal, if you are used to the area, and certainly a pretty drive, just don't come to the Tug Hill region expecting luxury or convenience. It isn't on the agenda. The husband/owner is loud and abrasive, deal with the Mrs. and you should enjoy your stay. Just have day trips planned. It's fine for that sort of stay. Personally, that is part of the charm of the area. My cell phone doesn't work there and I can live with that - hell, thrive! |
