when i first saw the place it looked like something out of a romance novel. what a great little place to visit. stop in if you are traveling thru on rt. 30 either direction. the tap room is old and loaded with character, i really exprvted to see bogart and cagney to walk in. i hope you never do anything to change its character. it is a one of a kind place.

If you've been to Raquette Lake and you haven't been to the Tap Room, then you really haven't been to Raquette Lake. The locals eat here and so do we - we're regulars. The food is really good, the price can't be beat, and we love Sandy, Kate and Penny. You have to try it!

I've been coming to Raquette Lake for over 15 years now. I stumbled on this little town by accident and have yet to go any further North in the Adirondacks. The Tap Room is the meeting place in tiny little village. Good beer, Great steamers, and no-frills rooms upstairs for 30 bucks.

One of my top 10 bars in the world. Tiny, tiny hole-in-wall. Friendly, "real", laid-back, good food (not gourmet, mind you, chicken fingers, hamburgers, etc.), decent wine although this is a beer place. One of the last of the "genuine" Adirondack spots.
